ABOUT ME

Academic Adélia Luciene Rodrigues Ferreira, co-founder and manager of Gastronomia Periférica (Peripheral Gastronomy), holds a degree in Psychology and is pursuing a postgraduate specialization in Human Sciences and Decolonial Thought. She also serves as a board member of Casa Diversa, an organization that offers culinary training for LGBTQIA+ individuals who have been through the prison system. She is also a guest lecturer in the Food Culture course at the Itaú Cultural School. She contributed as co-creator of the Gastronomia Periférica app and the Rango catering service, as well as the Restaurante-Escola da Quebrada and Restaurante Baccarelli, both located in São Paulo. Throughout her career, she served as curator of the Festival Dois Lados da Ponte and Chefs da Quebrada (SESC 2021 to 2023). She currently hosts the program "Curando com Comida" (Healing with Food) on the Gastronomia Periférica YouTube channel and sits on the board of UNESCO-SOST Brasil Transcriativa, distinguished by her multifaceted perspective on issues related to food and diversity.
