Academic Alexandre Barbosa was born in 1974 in Rio de Janeiro, residing on Ilha do Governador. He graduated in 1998 from Universidade Estácio de Sá in Physiotherapy. In the same year as his graduation, he began an internship with Dr. Nilton Petrone and was then hired as a physiotherapist at Clube de Regatas do Flamengo and as supervisor at the Fisio Barra Clinical School. He pursued postgraduate studies and advanced training in sports physiotherapy and osteopathy, and is currently a Master's student at UNICID in São Paulo. He has worked at clubs including Fluminense Football Club, Libya's national team, Al-Ittihad, Estácio de Sá Football Club, América Football Club, Società Sportiva Lazio, Khorfakkan (UAE), and Clube de Regatas Vasco da Gama. He currently coordinates Physiotherapy at the Brazilian Olympic Committee and works at his clinic in Barra da Tijuca.
