Academic Álisson Hygino Silva graduated in Physiotherapy 24 years ago, with a postgraduate specialization in Traumatology and Orthopedic Physiotherapy and a Master's in Family Health. Throughout his career, he founded two in-person physiotherapy courses in the neighborhoods of Ilha do Governador and Santa Cruz in the city of Rio de Janeiro, serving as coordinator for 5 years in both undergraduate and lato sensu postgraduate programs. He has been a university professor for 20 years, contributing to the training of over 2,000 new professionals. He is a tenured physiotherapist who has worked for 22 years in SUS patient care for the Rio de Janeiro City government, with more than 15,000 appointments served in the public health system. He was elected Board Member in 2019 and re-elected in 2023 to the Regional Council of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy of the State of Rio de Janeiro. He has received two Motions of Commendation from the Rio de Janeiro City Council and one from the São Pedro da Aldeia City Council for his contributions as a physiotherapist.
