Academic Ana Maria Carvalho holds a Post-Doctorate in Education from the University of Lisbon and a PhD in Management from the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro. She holds Master's degrees in Education and in Human Development, along with postgraduate specializations in Distance Education, Higher Education Methodology, and Consulting. She is an organizational psychologist, consultant, and university professor in Brazil (at Universidade Estácio de Sá-Wyden, Universidade Veiga de Almeida, and Universidade do Grande Rio-Afya) and in Cape Verde (at Universidade Jean Piaget de Cabo Verde). She is a member of FORGES – Forum for the Management of Higher Education in Portuguese-speaking Countries and Regions – and of CCILD – the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Lusophone World and its Diasporas. But her highest distinction, she says, is being the daughter of Adolfo and Luisa.
