Academic André Luiz Faria da Silva is an infectious disease specialist, born in Nova Friburgo, RJ, graduated from UNIFESO in Teresópolis, with a medical residency in infectious diseases at the Federal Hospital of State Civil Servants in Rio de Janeiro. A resident of Cabo Frio, RJ for 42 years, he works in health action planning and the execution of care routines and the entire hospital flow, contributing to the reduction of health complications, as well as in the balanced and conscientious prescription of antimicrobials at the main hospitals in the Lakes Region and the Northern Fluminense region. Over the past 20 years, he has been tireless in acting during humanity's most difficult moments, including H1N1, meningitis outbreaks, and above all the COVID-19 pandemic.
