ABOUT ME

Academic Antônio Fernandes do Rêgo, writer, poet, troubadour, and composer, born in Pau dos Ferros, Rio Grande do Norte, is certified by the Brazilian Order of Musicians and served in the Brazilian Navy, retiring as a Petty Officer First Class. He distinguished himself in the National/International Literary Contest for the Centenary of AFL – Academia Fluminense de Letras – 2017, placing 1st in the Poetry category and winning the Short Story category. He is a member of ATRN – Trovas Academy of Rio Grande do Norte and UBT – Brazilian Union of Troubadours. He participated in several international literary exhibitions, including the 2nd Literary Exhibition – Itinerant International in Portugal and the 3rd Literary Exhibition – Itinerant International at Olodum/Salvador, where he stood out with his poems. He received international recognition as the International Ambassador of NALAP and as Cultural Ambassador of ALB – Academia de Letras do Brasil – Campos dos Goytacazes (RJ). He is a member of various academies and was honored with several medals and honorary titles, including the Honoris Causa Doctorate in Literature from the Sovereign and Most August Royal and Imperial House of the Goths of the East, where he received the title of Count of Gothland. He has three published poetry collections and has participated in various national anthologies.
