Academic Arthur Antunes Coimbra, widely known as Zico, was born on March 3, 1953, in the Quintino Bocaiúva neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro. He is recognized as one of the greatest players in the history of world football and, for many, the greatest idol in the history of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo.
Developed at Flamengo, Zico built a legendary career marked by refined technique, exceptional game vision, leadership, and brilliance at free kicks. With the club's jersey, he won historic titles, including the Brazilian Championship, the Copa Libertadores de América, and the 1981 Intercontinental Cup — a season considered one of the greatest for any South American club of all time.
