ABOUT ME

Academic Cláudia Simone Silva de Sousa was born in Natal (RN), from public school, of the post-military regime generation; due to life's challenges, her pursuit of knowledge was overshadowed by everyday necessities. However, after certain events, she resumed her studies at age 31, when she enrolled in the Letters program at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. Since then, she has witnessed the transformative power of mindsets, which she experienced through her education, especially through literary theory in its breadth across different fields of knowledge. In addition to teaching, she is a literary critic, poet, lecturer, and thinker. Today, she holds a Doctorate in Language Studies, in the field of Comparative Literature and Linguistics, from UFRN. She completed her Master's and Doctorate with CAPES scholarships, with part of her doctoral research conducted in Portugal. She is a specialist in the prose of Fernando Pessoa, much of it still unpublished in Brazil. She also researches mythical/archetypal aspects present in mythical female characters of Greek theater, who remain represented in contemporary literature, as well as a retrospective look at this genre, demonstrating the importance of recovering our cultural foundations, the founders of Western thought.
