Academic Derivan Brito da Silva, son of Domingos Brito da Silva and Zenilde Rosendo da Silva and brother of Derival, Derinalva, Derinal, Daniel, Davi, Denildes, and Daiane, resides in Curitiba with Vlademir Poltronieri. His significant pursuits include teaching, professional politics, cooking, playing piano, and gardening. He is an occupational therapist, holds a Doctorate in Sociology, and is an Associate Professor at the Federal University of Paraná. His academic and professional career is shaped by the practice of occupational therapy, advocacy for public health policy and human rights, and participation in professional politics through associations, unions, and professional councils. He currently serves as a full board member of the Federal Council of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy (COFFITO), a full board member of the National Health Council (CNS), and President of the Brazilian Association of Occupational Therapists (ABRATO).
