ABOUT ME
Academic Eliane Campos da Paz Maia holds a Bachelor's in Performing Arts with a postgraduate specialization in Modern and Contemporary Theater. An actress, singer, dancer, choreographer, director, and theater teacher, she began her artistic career at age 9 with classical ballet classes at the Tatiana Leskova Ballet Academy and elocution training at the National Conservatory of Music of Rio de Janeiro under Master Nonelli Basbatefano. At age 14, she joined the Tablado Theater School and began her popular and classical singing lessons, thus beginning her craft as a musical theater actress. Her theatrical debut was in the musical Maroquinhas Fru-Fru by Maria Clara Machado, directed by Wolf Maya, followed by the musical A Menina e o Vento, directed by Marília Pêra. This marked the beginning of her career in the performing arts under the name Liane Maya, being cast as a lead in several musicals, including: O Rei de Ramos by Dias Gomes, Aí Vem o Dilúvio, Splish-Splash by Flávio Marinho, Quem Casa Quer Casa by Martins Penna, Há Vagas para Moças de Fino Trato by Alcione Araújo, Amor em Campo Minado by Dias Gomes, Foi Bom Meu Bem by Alberto de Abreu, Band-Age by Zé Rodrix and Miguel Paiva, and Bodas de Fígaro by Mozart. She performed in several highly successful musicals: Village Station, Nunsense, Gypsy, Cabaret, and The Addams Family, being nominated three times for the Bibi Ferreira Musical Theater Award for Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress in the musicals: As Damas de Paus, Crazy for You, and Além do Ar. From theater, she was invited to act on television in soap operas, series, and comedy programs with comedy masters Jô Soares, Renato Aragão, and Chico Anysio. In addition to being an actress, singer, dancer, and choreographer, Liane Maya is a theater, dance, and singing teacher, having taught and trained actors for more than 30 years at Escola e Faculdade Cal and at theater schools in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.
