ABOUT ME
Elizarda Paulino Silva, a native of Alto Paraíso, GO, holds two undergraduate degrees: Law from the University of the Federal District – UDF (1974), and Social Studies: Geography and History (full teaching degree), with a qualification in Moral and Civic Education, from the União das Faculdades Franciscanas – UNIFRAN, in the municipality of Franca, SP, in 1983, going on to pursue a postgraduate specialization in Brazilian Problem Studies that same year at the same institution. In 1964, she completed a course in Child Psychology through the General Superintendence of Education and Culture of the Federal District, receiving a diploma in Educational Psychology that same year.
In 1966, she completed a course in the Psychology of Human Relations at the Pedro II Center for Social Studies in Rio de Janeiro. She participated in the Rondon Project in 1969, sponsored by the Ministry of the Interior. She completed a course in Observation Techniques, sponsored by the Department of Education, in 1973. She was a teacher in the Federal District public school system, retiring in 1997.
She worked as a conciliator at the Informal Small Claims Court for 2 consecutive years, from 1993 to 1995. She worked for 6 years as an attorney for the Highway Workers' Union (1975 to 1981). She was a representative of the Confederation of Highway Transport Workers, during which she participated in the first seminar on government planning for Brasília, held at Itamaraty in 1976. She was a member of the Advisory and Planning Commission from 1993 to 1995. She completed an extensive refresher course for legal careers at the Federal District School of the Judiciary in 2002. From 2013 to 2015, she served as a board member of OAB/DF in the Taguatinga subsection, carrying out legal, social, and cultural activities. She holds postgraduate specializations in Civil Law and Civil Procedure (2005), and Family Law and Inheritance Law (2015), both from Universidade Cândido Mendes/ATAME-DF.
She completed a Spanish course through CNA/Taguatinga-DF, finished on July 11, 2009.
She participated in legal seminars in London (1995) on Family Law, and in Italy in 1997 on Divorce.
She currently holds Chair No. 33 of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences, Arts, History and Literature (ABRASCI), having been inducted on April 9, 2016, with Princess Isabel Cristina Leopoldina Augusta Micaela Gabriela Rafaela Gonzaga de Bragança e Bourbon as her patron.
Today, she runs her own law office, located in downtown Taguatinga, practicing in civil, family, and inheritance law.
