ABOUT ME

Academic Eustáquio Nunes Silveira, a native of Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, and a resident of Brasília, is a retired Federal Appellate Judge and has practiced law in the Federal District for more than eighteen years. He currently serves as managing partner of Silveira Cruz Advogados and is a member of the Bar Institute of the Federal District (IADF). Throughout his long career, he has worked as a journalist, an employee of Banco do Brasil, a Federal Police Chief Investigator, legal advisor to two Ministers of the Army, a university professor, a state court judge, a federal judge, and a Federal Appellate Judge of the Federal Regional Court of the 1st Region. He has received numerous honors, including, by way of example, the rank of Officer of the Order of Military Merit; the Medal of the Peacemaker, awarded by the President of the Republic; the Medal of the Order of the Cradle of the American Man, conferred by the municipality of São Raimundo Nonato (PI); Commendator of the Sovereign Imperial Archiepiscopal Order of Our Lady of Sorrows of the Rio de Janeiro Military Police; the Grand Collar of Fort São Joaquim, conferred by the State of Roraima; the Merit of the Fort of the Prince of Beira, of the Military Police of the State of Rondônia; the Order of Electoral Merit of the Federal District; as well as the titles of Honorary Citizen of the municipalities of Boa Vista (RR), Montes Claros, and Francisco Sá, both in Minas Gerais. Finally, he is the author of the book "Uma Contribuição à Literatura Jurídica" (A Contribution to Legal Literature) and of numerous legal works and articles published in national newspapers and legal journals.
