Academic Fábio Ferreira de Alencar, born in Rio de Janeiro in 1973, began his academic career in engineering but at age 22 decided to follow his true passion: the world of live aquatic animals. With the fundamental support of his father, Dorgival Alencar, and alongside his wife, Renata Alves, his lifelong companion and essential presence in every achievement, the two founded Universo dos Peixes, immersing themselves in the trade, export, and import of ornamental species. Fábio has been involved in various conservation projects, including the breeding of endangered animals, always with a focus on sustainability, protection, and the management of natural resources. With an entrepreneurial spirit, he has been combining knowledge, innovation, and the preservation of marine life.
