ABOUT ME

Francisco Amaral Medeiros is a professor, clinical psychoanalyst, and systemic family therapist, with solid experience in human care, conflict mediation, and the promotion of a culture of peace. He also works as a community therapist, peace agent, and member of the Family Pastoral, dedicating his career to listening, welcoming, and strengthening social and family bonds. He is part of the 60+ Group at the Federal Institute of Brasília – Ceilândia Campus (DF), a space that has provided him significant personal growth, social engagement, and encouragement for the development of writing and other intellectual and expressive talents. He acknowledges, in this journey, the valuable contribution of Professor Josenio, to whom he expresses deep gratitude for guidance, encouragement, and inspiration. He is a member of the National Council of Clinical Psychoanalysis, actively participating in debates, training, and initiatives focused on ethics, social responsibility, and the improvement of therapeutic practices. In the academic-cultural sphere, he is in the process of joining ABRASCI – Brazilian Academy of History, Sciences, Arts and Cultures, an institution from which he was awarded the "Men of Honor" Medal, a distinction granted in recognition of his humanistic, intellectual, and social work. He participates in panel discussions, cultural gatherings, and interdisciplinary dialogue spaces, with presentations and reflections related to history, science, the arts, and literature. In his talks, he highlights topics such as the Code of Hammurabi, classic works of visual art — such as The Scream, The Last Supper, and Raphael's The School of Athens — as well as the cultural diversity of peoples across continents, always connecting such references with ethical, social, and spiritual values. His career is marked by a commitment to dialogue, the development of critical thinking, the appreciation of culture, and the practice of Christian principles, drawing inspiration from the biblical passage:
