Academic Frederico de Sá Manhães began his training in Physiotherapy in 1994 at Universidade Gama Filho. In 1998, he was invited to intern at Flamengo's medical department, beginning a 27-year career dedicated to sports physiotherapy. In 2005, he went to Japan to set up the physiotherapy service at Kawasaki Frontale, later returning to Brazil to open his own clinic and join the Brazilian national football team. In 2016, he returned to Flamengo, remaining until 2019, and also worked with the Australian sailing team at the Rio Olympics. In 2020, he began a successful period at Palmeiras, and in 2025, joined the health and performance department of Vasco da Gama. He feels fulfilled and grateful to God for being able to pursue his passion: sports physiotherapy.
