Academic Guilherme Thiago de Souza, born in Joinville, SC, son of a teacher and an Army officer, attended public school and, at age 16, graduated as an industrial mechanic from SENAI. As a scholarship student, he completed secondary school with honors and was awarded best student. He completed a technical degree in Industrial Automation and graduated in Computer Engineering. He holds a postgraduate specialization in Digital Forensics and a specialization in Applied Mathematics, in addition to taking courses in automation, cybersecurity, intelligence, and data analysis.
Between 2007 and 2013, he worked as a FANUC robotics engineer throughout South America. In 2013, he became an independent consultant, distinguishing himself in the aerospace sector, where he led innovative projects such as robotic paint booths and fuselage alignment systems. During the pandemic, he developed the Controlled Individual Breathing Bubble, widely used in the fight against COVID-19. He works on research with the Pulmonology Division of Hospital das Clínicas in São Paulo, advocating for a partnership between academia and industry for the advancement of society.
