Helena Maria de Freitas Chagas is a professional journalist and holds a Master's degree from UnB. She worked at various press outlets as a reporter, political columnist, commentator, and editor-in-chief. She was Director of the Brasília bureau of the newspaper O Globo and Editor-in-Chief of SBT in the capital. In public service, she was Director of Journalism at EBC/TV Brasil. She coordinated communications for Dilma Rousseff's 2010 presidential campaign and served as Minister-Chief of the Secretariat of Social Communication of the Presidency of the Republic from 2011 to 2014. In recent years, she has worked as a communications consultant and commentator for digital outlets such as the Brasil 247 portal. Today, she is Marketing and Communications Manager at Apex Brasil.
