Academic Ilana Kabacznik Luongo Kapah holds a Law degree from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, a specialization in Economic Criminal Law from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV), a Master's in Law (LL.M.) from Harvard University, and the title of Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Florida International University in the United States. Since 2010, she has served as a state court judge in the Court of Justice of the State of Amapá, currently serving as the presiding judge of the Calçoene district court, one of the state's most remote and vulnerable regions. Throughout her career, she has distinguished herself not only through her judicial work, but also through her commitment to promoting social justice and access to citizenship. In this context, she conceived and coordinates the Restorative Community Project, an initiative that applies restorative justice practices to strengthen community ties and promote collective, peaceful conflict resolution involving offenders, victims, and the local community. She is also responsible for creating the Empreende Calçoene project, focused on fostering local entrepreneurship as a tool for economic empowerment, productive inclusion, and violence prevention in vulnerable contexts. Her career combines international academic excellence with a commitment to social transformation through justice.
