Academic Jasiel Tavares Fernandes was born in Carangola, Minas Gerais, and moved to Brasília during childhood, where he built a notable career in the Federal District Military Police. He currently holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the PMDF, accumulating more than three decades of dedicated public service. He has a robust academic background, with degrees in Public Security, Law, and Pedagogy, complemented by specializations in Strategic Management of Distance Education, Public Security, and Public Law. Jasiel Fernandes has held strategic roles in public security administration, distinguishing himself in coordinating the implementation of the distance learning platform at PMDF and in his role as commander of the 7th Military Police Battalion. He currently serves as Deputy Secretary of Public Security Policies in the Federal District Department of Public Security, contributing significantly to the improvement of security policies for the population of Brasília. Son of Thomé and Célia Fernandes, from whom he received his education and values. He is married to Dr. Ana Carolina Fernandes, a distinguished bariatric surgeon, and is the father of Pedro and Samuel, his foundations in life.
