Academic Jihad Mohamad Alawie was born on February 13, 1971, in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. At the age of 14, he left his country and moved to Toronto, Canada, where he studied and started a vehicle auction buying and selling company, also shipping electronics to Paraguay. In September 1997, he saw an opportunity and opened an import company in Paraguay, bringing in products from China and the United States, selling wholesale to stores in Ciudad del Este, Paraguay, and moved to Brazil/Foz do Iguaçu. He married Maire Fabiana Muchal and has 3 children: Jimmy, 18; Hadi, 15; and Abbas, 11. In 2015, he established his company in Brazil in real estate and investment.
