Academic João Baptista de Oliveira, an attorney, State Board Member of OAB-SP for 3 terms. A journalist, President of the São Paulo Press Association (2006/09) and Vice-President of the State's Official Press (2018/19). He has 9 published books, plus 3 co-authored. Member of the Historical and Geographical Institute of São Paulo and of the following academies: Academia Cristã de Letras; Academia Paulista Evangélica de Letras; Academia Paulista de Jornalismo; Academia Brasileira Rotária de Letras; Academia Maçônica Internacional de Letras; Academia Maçônica de Letras, Teatro, Ciências, Arte e Música; and Academia William Shakespeare. He received his first honor at our Academy in 1992, from the hands of the late Prof. Michel Chelala, who was a close friend. He served as master of ceremonies at numerous academic events at Casa da Fazenda, at the Government Palace of São Paulo, and at the Federal District. He was also a friend of the beloved "presidential couple" Samir and Waldirene Chelala, and of the active Nicholas Aguiar Dias.
