Academic Júlio César Resende comes from Pratinha, a region near the source of the São Francisco River, known for its great wealth in niobium, gold, diamonds, and the finest cheeses in Brazil. His family has always been dedicated to investments in education, agribusiness, healthcare, and mining. Júlio Resende is an attorney, administrator, and businessman, with degrees in Commercial and Business Law. He has dedicated himself in parallel to legal practice and to activities in civil construction, mining, and bio-agribusiness. He developed recognized work with the Central Bank of Brazil. Founder and President of Origine Group, an internationally recognized brand. Júlio has received various awards and international recognition for his work, having given lectures in various countries and universities. From 2000 to 2012, Júlio Resende lived in the Amazon rainforest to deepen his studies on the productive potential of that region, during which time he dedicated himself to writing and implementing what he called "business arrangement" — he wrote extensive works (methodologies for sustainable production with profitability — carbon sequestration). In 2010, Júlio served as Secretary of State in Tocantins, heading the Secretariat of International Relations. He presided over the Brazilian Association of Small and Medium Miners. Júlio served on two important councils of the National Confederation of Industry (CNI Brasil): the International Integration Council and the Environmental Council. He served as President of CICIBAS – the Brazil-Saudi Arabia Chamber of Investment, Trade, and Industry. He has presided since 2008 over a holding company providing governance for companies at the national and international level. In 2009, Júlio Resende was appointed by the American government as an executive agent to strengthen bilateral relations between Brazil and the United States.
