ABOUT ME
Academic Lucia Helena Silva Barros de Oliveira joins this house of knowledge today with a grateful heart and a deep commitment to justice. From an early age, encouraged by her family, she believed in the transformative power of study. She graduated in Law in 1991 and, since 1997, has been part of the Public Defenders' Office of the State of Rio de Janeiro, working in the criminal field and representing the institution at important forums on criminal justice. Holding a Master's in Law and a postgraduate specialization in Ethno-Racial Relations, she joins the Academy with a sincere desire to share experiences. This evening is dedicated to her mother, Geny, a source of inspiration; to her husband, Henry, her companion through every hour; and to her friends, whose presence makes this moment even more special.
