Marcelo Sarmento, son of Paula de Souza Sarmento and Marcelo Sarmento da Costa, is an attorney, married to Larissa Arcanjo, and partner at the firm Rodrigues Cunha & Tavares Advogados Associados. He is a member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences, Arts, History and Literature as an Immortal of the Academic College of Legal Sciences, distinguished by his solid legal background and multidisciplinary work.
Graduated in Law from IDP, he holds postgraduate specializations in Real Estate Law and Tax Law, an MBA in Condominium Management, and is in advanced training in Civil Law, Business Law, and Civil Procedure. He also serves as Networking Education Coordinator at BNI Monumental, balancing his legal practice with institutional and educational leadership.
With notable academic and oratory performance, he was champion of the Brasília Debate Championship (2018) and the ProAm Public Speaking Championship (2019), in addition to being recognized as Best Debater in regional and national competitions. He held important positions at the General Superintendence of CADE, at the Ministry of Justice, and worked at renowned law firms such as Sergio Bermudes Advogados and Caldeira Lobo e Otôni Advogados Associados.
