Academic Márcia Renata Mortari is a neuroscientist and professor at the University of Brasília (UnB), where she has coordinated the Neuropharmacology Laboratory since 2008. Graduated from UnB, with a Doctorate and post-doctorate from USP, she conducts innovative research on neurodegenerative diseases. She is the author of more than 100 scientific articles, 20 patents, and a book translated into seven languages. She has trained dozens of professionals who now work at centers of excellence in Brazil and abroad. Recognized for her commitment to science communication, she advocates for accessible and transformative science and values evidence-based knowledge and the training of new scientists. Her work seeks to integrate neuroscience, education, and innovation, and she believes in the potential of science to revolutionize society.
