Academic Marcio Moreira da Silva, a Brazilian born in Rio de Janeiro, is a veteran officer of the Brazilian Navy and holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering. He holds two Master's degrees in Electrical Engineering, one from USP and another from the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS), with distinction. He also holds an Engineer's Degree from NPS. He is recognized for his work on directional military antennas patented by the US Navy. He has published at national and international conferences and taught at renowned institutions such as FGV, UFRJ-NCE-COPPE, and Escola Superior de Redes. He received the ISSA SecMaster Award in 2004 for his contribution to information security in the Navy. Specialized in information security and cyber risk management, he currently works as a Cyber Risk Manager at Bose Corporation in the USA, in addition to being a speaker and professor at the US Spiritist Federation.
