ABOUT ME
He is a member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences, Arts, History and Literature (ABRASCI), an institution that awarded him the Templar Sword of the Academy, in João Pessoa, and the Dom Pedro IV – Father of the Nation Medal (Grand Collar Rank), in Lisbon, Portugal.
He received the title of Doctor Honoris Causa from UNISCECAP, in Brasília, and the Professor Otávio Morais Trophy, granted by CEDEPE / Laureate International Universities.
Nationally recognized for his significant work in education, he was one of the main figures responsible for establishing the Northeast as a reference in hosting major educational congresses, both nationally and internationally. Throughout his career, he coordinated and provided scientific advisory support to more than 75 medium- and large-scale congresses, including some of the most important educational events in Latin America.
He received various regional and national awards for coordinating research projects in education, including three awards from the Roberto Marinho Foundation and three from the Pernambuco State Government, especially for his contribution to translating scientific methodology into a teaching approach for basic education. He was also honored twice with the Ciranda da Ciência Merit, also granted by the Roberto Marinho Foundation.
He worked as a teacher and advisor in basic education, in addition to being a guest professor in postgraduate and MBA programs at institutions such as: CEDEPE / Laureate International Universities, the Catholic University of Pernambuco, Universidade Maurício de Nassau (PE), Faculdade Boa Viagem / DeVry Brasil, and SENAC (PE).
He is currently director of SAPIENS – Centro de Formação e Pesquisa (since 2000), Corporate Director of People Management of Grupo Preserve Liserve (since 2010), and Director of Education at the SEAC/PE – SINDESP/PE Corporate University (since 2021), in addition to working as an educational and corporate consultant.
He holds a degree in Engineering from the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE), an MBA in People Management and Leadership from CEDEPE Business School / Laureate International Universities, a postgraduate specialization in Constructivism and Education from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, in partnership with the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences of Argentina, and a specialization in University Teaching Training from UFRPE. He also holds international training in Coaching and Mentoring from Instituto Holos (SC).
He is the author of several published works and served as organizer and coordinator of the following publications:
