Academic Maria da Conceição Barroso da Cunha C. Zagalo plays a prominent role in promoting corporate social responsibility, executive volunteerism, female leadership, and the development of youth leadership in Portugal. With an exemplary career and widely recognized work, she has received several awards and distinctions, including from Amnesty International, the Federation of European Communication Associations, and the G100 as Woman of the Decade – Women 3.0 Awards 2023. She was a Councilor of Lisbon City Hall and is President of Fundação Liga, Fundação Mendes Gonçalves, Associação CAIS, the Advisory Board of GRACE, and the Advisory Board of APCE. She is a member of the Representative Assembly of Associação Mutualista Montepio.
