Academic Maria do Rosário Pereira Cardoso Anjos was born on September 12, 1966, in the city of Vila Real. She graduated in Law from the Portuguese Catholic University, in Porto, on July 27, 1989. At the same university, she completed a postgraduate specialization in European Studies in 1991. She holds a Master's in Public Administration from the University of Minho and a Doctorate in Public Law from the University of A Coruña, in Spain. She has practiced law since 1991 and is a founding partner of the law firm Anjos, Martins & Associados, headquartered in Porto. She has been a higher education faculty member since 1992 and currently serves as Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law of Lusófona University and Director of the Master's in Law at the University Center of Porto, where she served as Vice-Rector during the 2021-2022 term. Her professional life has been dedicated to legal science across various dimensions, including legal practice, teaching, training, and supervising new professionals. Since 2011, she has also been working as an arbitration judge for the Administrative and Tax Arbitration Center, the Arbitration and Litigation Center of the Regional Council of the Lisbon Bar Association, and the National Arbitration Center. She is a member of various national and international associations linked to the legal field and to socially significant activities. She is the author of several scientific publications in the areas of Administrative, Tax, and European Law.
