ABOUT ME
Academic Maurício de Oliveira Chaves, from Dores do Indaiá, Minas Gerais, his family came to Brasília led by his uncle Geraldo Chaves. He holds a Doctorate in Public Health from the American University of Asunción, a Master's in Gerontology from the Catholic University of Brasília (UCB), a specialization in Public Health from Faculdade São Camilo, and a degree in Nursing (Bachelor's and Teaching license) from the University of Brasília (UnB); he also holds a second degree in Civil Engineering from Faculdade Anhanguera de Brasília. He is a public servant: a nurse with the Federal District Department of Health (SESDF) since 2001, where he started and was Technical Director of the Health at Home and Family Program in Ponte Alta do Gama, DF, where he met Dr. Waldir Cunha. He was Coordinator of the Emergency and Trauma Nursing Residency at ESCS/FEPECS, was a teacher for SEDF, was a member of the ethics committee at UNICEPLAC, UCB, and HRG/SESDF, is a member of the IEEE International Institute (member of the North America Central Professional Chapter - EMBS, EDS & MTT-S Chapter, linked to UnB/FGA Gama), has written book chapters, has several published articles, was an undergraduate program coordinator, a winner of national and international congresses/competitions, has coordinated social and educational events since 2016, and has received various honors and accolades wherever he has worked, etc.
