A jurist, attorney, and professor, with a distinguished career in Labor Law and Labor Procedural Law, recognized for his solid academic, professional, and institutional work. Holding a Doctorate in Legal Sciences, he has extensive experience in high-level labor law practice, working before superior courts, including the Superior Labor Court (TST) and the Federal Supreme Court (STF), and is a founding partner of the firm Normando Cavalcanti – Advogados Associados, since 2001.
Throughout his career, he has held important positions in legal academia, having taught at institutions such as the University of Brasília (UnB), the Catholic University of Brasília (UCB), AEUDF, IESB, UniEuro, UPIS, and others, in addition to having served as Director, Deputy Director, and Coordinator of the Law program at Grupo Educacional Fortium. He also stands out as founder and supervisor of legal practice centers and model law offices, directly contributing to the training of generations of jurists.
He is the author of significant academic works in labor law, including Curso de Direito Processual do Trabalho, O Assédio Moral no Trabalho, and Recurso de Revista e Recurso de Embargos no Âmbito do Direito do Trabalho, published by Fortium Editora, consolidating his doctrinal contribution to Brazilian law.
In the honorific field, he was awarded the Order of Labor Judicial Merit, Officer rank, granted by the Superior Labor Court, in addition to various academic and institutional tributes. He is an academic member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences, Arts, History and Literature (ABRASCI), a member of the Honoris Causa College, holder of Chair No. 8, and a member of its Advisory Council, accumulating decorations of legal, historical, and cultural merit.
With a multicultural background and fluency in languages such as Spanish, English, and Italian, he has also participated extensively in international courses, examination boards, and academic events in Brazil and abroad, consolidating a career marked by technical rigor, a commitment to legal education, and respect for the institutional traditions of law.
