ABOUT ME

Academic Pedro Paulo Pereira dos Anjos, born on June 29, 1938, in the city of Rio de Janeiro, is a retired Federal Attorney, married to Azenaide Brito dos Anjos for 56 years, with an admirable pair of children. His entire professional activity was dedicated to the now-defunct National Social Security Institute (INPS) and the current National Social Security Institute (INSS), in Rio de Janeiro and Brasília. His public service career began at the now-defunct Maritime Workers' Retirement and Pension Institute (IAPM), on September 26, 1955, as a contracted laborer. From 1957 to 1959, he attended the Reserve Officers Training Center – CPOR/RJ (Army), in the Cavalry branch. At those social security institutes, he held various positions — management roles, freely-appointed positions, and senior advisory roles — in different administrative departments, as well as Chief Attorney at the Attorney General's Office. In August 1990, he decided to retire, but his final departure from public service in Brasília only came in 1997, when he recognized that his mission was complete, after 42 years of services rendered to social security.
