ABOUT ME

Academic Salvino Oliveira Barbosa was born in 1997, in Cidade de Deus, Rio de Janeiro, and built his career from public education and social engagement. He holds a degree in Public Management from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and is a Master's candidate in Public Administration at Fundação Getulio Vargas. He worked at the Public Defenders' Office and at the CESEC Public Security Observatory. He was Municipal Secretary of Youth of Rio de Janeiro between 2021 and 2024, being the youngest person to hold the position. In 2024, he was elected City Councilman of Rio de Janeiro, with notable work in education, youth, and public innovation. In 2025, he was awarded by the Young Activists Summit as one of the 5 young activists in the world, an initiative recognized within the scope of the United Nations. He currently chairs the Education Commission of the Rio de Janeiro City Council.
