ABOUT ME
Academic Teófilo César Ferreira da Fonseca is a Portuguese-Angolan manager, with a plural cultural identity rooted in Goan (India) and Portuguese family heritage. Married to Maria Eugénia and father of Marta and Miguel, he has built a solid and distinctive professional career spanning more than three decades in administration, supervision, and executive leadership roles at large organizations in the financial, insurance, and industrial sectors, in both national and international contexts.
A specialist in strategic management, corporate governance, organizational restructuring, risk management, and business transformation, he has carried out his work in demanding multicultural environments, with professional experience in Europe, Africa, and Asia. His work has been distinguished by his ability to lead complex change and international expansion processes, strengthen governance models, and promote sustainable value creation, with a strong ethical, institutional, and fiduciary sense.
Academically, he is completing a Master's in Economics and Environmental Management at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto. He holds a degree in Management and postgraduate specializations in Management Auditing and in International Business, complemented by advanced executive training in senior management programs in the fields of management, sustainability, and governance, at renowned institutions such as AESE, Nova SBE, and ISEG. He also completed the National Defense Course (CDN) of the National Defense Institute (IDN), as a National Auditor, reinforcing a strategic vision on security and defense, geopolitics, and the challenges of the international context.
His career reflects an integrated, long-term vision, oriented toward sustainability, ethics, and good governance, combining technical and interpersonal skills with a strong connection to the CPLP countries. This commitment translates into consistent work on behalf of business, institutional, and human development, as well as active participation in academic initiatives and matters of public interest.
