Academic Tereza Cristina Scott Kilson: on my mother's side, I am of Irish and French European descent; on my father's side, my relatives are Syrian. I was born in Rio de Janeiro, where I spent a happy childhood alongside my family and friends. I lived in my hometown until two years after my university graduation, and since then I have come to Brasília, seeking a better life in this city, of which I am proud, which I have adopted as my own and for which I feel great affection, since it is here that my beloved son was born.
I began my education at the Instituto de Educação Santo Antônio in Rio de Janeiro, where I studied from kindergarten through the end of elementary school. From the very first year, I was always a standout student, frequently ranking first in my class. I completed secondary school at Colégio Miguel Couto Bahiense and, after the entrance exam, in 1980 I was admitted to the Faculty of Medicine of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Then, in 1987, I began my specialization in Dermatology at Hospital Pedro Ernesto of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. I passed the examination for the State Department of Health in 1990, and began my professional career in Brasília. In 1997, I began a postgraduate program in Occupational Medicine, and in 2018, I decided to study Endocrinology.
