Academic Vera Lucia Gonzales Teixeira: a physician, specialist in Pathological Anatomy, with a postgraduate specialization in Occupational Medicine, and a visual artist of recognized international standing. She was the fifth President of the Brazilian Academy of Fine Arts and is a full Academic of Chair No. 37. She has participated in national and international exhibitions, receiving various awards, including the "Prêmio de Nobilíssimo" from APPA. She is a member of academies in Brazil and abroad, with works in collections in Brazil, Portugal, Australia, and Switzerland.
